Day 5: The popular and most well known move around the internet: planking!!! Most people don't do it correctly and therefor fail to continue with this pose. Please watch the video below, showing you in detail how to use your shoulders and arms when practicing the plank known as - Chaturanga Dandasana.
In photo 2 you will see me turning my lover body to each side. Make sure to keep your arms and shoulders right in place and use your core to keep your lower body to the side. If you feel the pressure on your side - known as the love handles, then you know you are doing it correctly.
Time spend on each pose: 20 seconds on each pose and repeat once. Remember to do the side lower plank on both sides, so turn to each side for 20 seconds and repeat.
Day 6: Today's poses continue straight from day 5. I use to hate doing this pose, but Vicky was always on my case and made it part of every yoga session until I did it without trying.
It may look easy, but believe me.... go try it and you will know exactly what I mean :)
In photo 1 you must make sure that your core is the focus point, keeping your arms straight and legs of the ground. Keep your core engaged at all times.
Photo 2 you can bend your lower legs towards your body, still making sure that your core is in place and arms straight.
Photo 3 - Just try to reach with your arms towards your feet. If you can only manage to hold on for a few seconds, then do so. The video below will explain in detail how to succeed in this pose.
