When I started doing yoga last year March, I did the same routine each night and most important, to do it correctly. I made sure to capture my progress by taking pictures. Looking back at my first downward facing dog attempt and today, it's so rewarding to see how much I have improved.
I know some of you may feel motivated but also uncomfortable, but that is normal. You are not comfortable yet because yoga is unknown to most of us and we only get to know and experience it as we continue.
It's been 10 months since I started, but the change in my body was an eye opener. Someone that use to gym at least 3 times a week to only 3 times a week of yoga and speed walking in-between.
Much less effort and the cherry on top? Feeling on top of the world. I set the bar high for a certain move that I want to have under my belt by the end of April this year. Turning 30 is so exiting and would love to start my 30's together with my goals.
Instructions:
Watch the video below how to do the basic downward facing dog. In my picture above you will see that I lift/move my legs which is additional moves during this position.
Best is to start tonight to make sure you do the basic downward facing dog correctly and then on each side, you add the additional moves as shown above.
